Rumble Resources Starts Drilling For Gold At Western Queen; Shares Rise

Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX: RTR) has started a diamond and RC drilling program at its Western Queen Gold Project in Western Australia.

The drilling will test the continuity of the multiple high-grade zones beneath the Western Queen South and along strike of the Western Queen Central deposits.

High-grade intersections

Importantly, previous drilling has shown high-grade gold with scope to extend to significant depths.

Previous high-grade intersections at Western Queen South include 5 metres at 38.76 g/t gold from 193 metres and 17 metres at 5.70 g/t gold from 221 metres.

Rumble shares were last trading ~8% higher intra-day, at A$0.041.

MD comment

Rumble Managing Director and CEO Peter Harold said: “As we continue with the metallurgical testwork on our Earaheedy zinc, lead, silver project we are delighted to be drilling the Western Queen Gold Project.

“The historical gold intersections at Western Queen are some of the highest grade gold intersections found in Western Australia today, and they warrant follow up.”

Potential for high-grade orebodies

Western Queen has historical production of 880,000 tonnes at 7.6 g/t gold for 215,000 ounces.

Harold said that this past production shows that the system is capable of hosting further significant high-grade orebodies.

The Western Queen mineral resource currently stands at 2.1 million tonnes at 2.42 g/t gold for 163,200 ounces.

What’s next?

  • Complete the diamond core drilling to delineate and further extend the known high-grade gold mineralisation below the Western Queen South deposit.
  • Complete the RC drilling program to test for a northern extension to the shallow, economic mineralisation intersected at the Duke Prospect.
  • Test other potential high-grade shoots along the currently defined 2.7 km mineralised zone, with an initial focus on the Western Queen Central area.
