Mt Malcolm Mines Kicks Off Bulk Sampling at Golden Crown

Mt Malcom Mines Ltd (ASX:M2M) has begun its bulk sampling and ore processing study at its Gold Crown Prospect, situated within the Malcom Gold Project in Western Australia.

Poised to mark another “significant milestone” for the company, this study rides on the back of the recent grade control reverse circulation (RC) drilling program completed at the prospect.

The company’s February 2024 RC drilling program had delineated a well-defined mineralised area at Golden Crown

Consequently, this provides a solid foundation for robust maiden mineral resource estimate at the prospect.

Drill program

To support bulk sampling, Malcom Mines completed 18 shallow-grade control drillholes within the sampling area.

These drillholes, with depths ranging from 18 to 24 metres, intersected potentially mineralized quartz veins on both the centre line and the eastern line

Samples have been submitted to SGS Kalgoorlie for analysis, with results expected within a fortnight.

Forward plan

Testwork for seven processing samples is now underway, with initial results expected within a week.

A comprehensive bulk sampling program has also kicked off targeting up to 8,000 tonnes of high-grade ore.

The company remains focused on resource estimation, further metallurgical studies, and environmental assessments as it pursues the next phase of exploration and development at Golden Crown Prospect.

About Golden Crown

The Golden Crown gold prospect, with its rich historical significance and recent promising results, has become the company’s focal point for resource estimation and project development.

The February 2024 RC drilling program has delineated a well-defined mineralised area, providing a solid foundation for robust maiden mineral resource estimate.

The company completed 2,772 metres of RC drilling in the March quarter at Golden Crown.

Encouragingly, assays highlighted significant hits including highest recorded intersection of 6 metres at 24.46 g/t gold and broad high-grade zone of 10 metres at 15.40 g/t gold.
