Krakatoa Resources Has More Drilling Success At King Tamba in WA

Krakatoa Resources Ltd (ASX: KTA) continues to have exploration success at King Tamba in Western Australia, which is an ex-tantalum mine.

Multiple LCT pegmatites were confirmed underlying the soil anomaly.

Mineralised pegmatites remain open to the west.

Drill Highlights

The final results from a reverse drilling program at the lithium-rich soil anomaly included:

  • 17 metres at 0.24% Li2O from 90 metres;
  • 6 metres at 0.25% Li2O from 4 metres; and
  • 9 metres at 605ppm Ta and 5 metres at 305ppm Nb from 17 metres.

King Tamba hosts an existing resource of 5 million tonnes at 0.14% Rb2O with 0.05% Li2O credits.

The latest results could provide an opportunity to update and expand the resource model.

Drilling was undertaken by Topdrill who provided $600,000 in drilling equity as part of the placement in late 2023.

Krakatoa has an aggressive exploration program planned across its Australian project portfolio.

With this, there is potential for significant news flow in 2024.

The company held $2.3 million in cash in December 2023.
