Haranga Resources Confirms Uranium Anomalies In Senegal

Haranga Resources Ltd (ASX:HAR) has revealed encouraging uranium concentrations from sampling at its Saraya Uranium Project in Senegal.

The company’s field program is focused on infill termite mound sampling (TMS) at Diobi East.

Notably, one location returned a high pXRF reading for uranium equivalent (eU3O8) with a value of 52 ppm.

This value is 20 times background for a TM sample over the Saraya Eastern Lateritic Plateau.

Drilling continues

To date, eight regional uranium anomalies have been delineated at Saraya.

Auger drilling at the Sanela prospect is continuing, whilst TMS and processing continue to cover the entire Saraya project area before the wet season.

Opportunity for new discoveries

Haranga Managing Director Peter Batten said: “As the termite mound sampling programs near completion, it is clear that there is a line of anomalism running down the spine of the permit.

“In addition, a smaller line of anomalism is emerging in the southeast corner of the permit that we are keen to explore.

“The opportunity to make new uranium discoveries from within this zone of anomalism still exists and we are exploring processes to penetrate the masking, transported laterite blanket that lies over the main anomalous zones.”

Resource upgrade

The company is awaiting a potential resource category upgrade following the receipt of previous metallurgical test work which confirmed high recoveries.

Haranga will also receive drill assay results from the recent RC program which could underpin a resource upgrade.

As at 31 March 2024, Haranga and its subsidiaries held A$1.18 million in cash reserves.
