Droneshield Secures A$4.7M Counterdrone Systems Order

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) has secured a major order worth A$4.7 million from a new non-government Swiss international customer.

Notably, the end customer for the multiple vehicle-based C-UxS systems order is a high-profile Government agency.

C-UxS refers to counterdrone systems targeting multi-domain aerial, ground and maritime surface drones.

Payments throughout 2024

DroneShield’s rapidly deployable C-UxS platform can be operated in both static and on-the-move missions for convoy and mobile VIP protection.

Payments for the order are expected to be received throughout 2024, with the final payment expected in Q12025.

New level of operational flexibility

The solution provides a new level of operational flexibility, by incorporating DroneShield’s radio frequency detection and mitigation, radar, and electro-optical sensors, into a single vehicle-based platform.

The system will be powered by the DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control system, including its proprietary AI-based sensorfusion engine.

DroneShield CEO Oleg Vornik said: “This order highlights DroneShield expertise not only as a maker of cutting-edge AI-based C-UAS sensor and effector technologies, but also a system integrator, for demanding applications that involve multiple sensor and effector modalities, operating in tough conditions. We are excited to have this new customer onboard and doing more work with them over coming years.”

U.S. Government order

Last month, DroneShield secured a repeat order of A$5.7 million from a U.S. Government customer for its CUxS systems.

The delivery, involving multiple DroneShield product lines, is expected to be completed in several stages throughout the remainder of the year.

DroneShield is well funded for growth after completing a A$15 million share purchase plan (SPP) last month.

The SPP generated significant support from existing shareholders with applications substantially exceeding the maximum capped amount.
