Ballymore Resources Gains After Bonanza-Grade Gold Hits At Dittmer

Ballymore Resources Ltd (ASX: BMR) has delivered further bonanza-grade gold intersections from the Dittmer gold/copper mine in Queensland.

Notably, the stage 4 underground drilling intersected grades as high as 0.3 metres at 193.45 g/t gold.

Other highlight results include 3 metres at 19.50 g/t gold from 88 metres peaking at 1.2 metres at 48.25 g/t gold from 88.8 metres.

The company’s shares gained 8% following the announcement, trading at A$0.14.

Extensive vein-hosted, bonanza gold

The drilling program comprised 14 drill holes for a total of 2,933.1 metres adjacent to the historic Dittmer mine.

Results have now been received for the first twelve holes.

Importantly, the drilling has demonstrated that this area hosts extensive vein-hosted, bonanza gold mineralisation with associated copper and silver.

Lodes are getting wider at depth

Ballymore Chairman Andrew Greville said: “We are delighted with these spectacular results. 193.45 g/t is a wonderful intersection, and validates our belief in the system.

“The continuity and high grade of the Duffer Lode extension is being confirmed with every assay, and the indication in hole DTDD034 of a second high grade zone is intriguing and potentially game-changing.”

Greville said it is pleasing to note that Ballymore’s deeper holes are reporting broader intervals, suggesting that the lodes are getting wider at depth.

What’s next?

Preparations are well advanced to test the lateral extent of the new discovery beyond the historical Dittmer mine.

Interestingly, Ballymore’s upcoming step-out drilling program will be the first major surface drilling program at Dittmer.

It will test the significant potential for strike extensions to the old mine area as demonstrated by the large defined geochemical anomaly.
