ASX Weekly ETF Gainers Dominated By Crypto

Returns from speculative ETFs that held Cryptocurrency took top spots in the Australian Exchange Traded Fund market over the past week.

Not to be outdone, ETFs that held physical hydrogen and platinum got among the chocolates.

Fund manager Global X sparkled with four of the top five performing ETFs.

Global X’s 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ASX: EBTC) was the top-performing fund, returning 8.1%. In second place was Betashares’ Crypto Innovators ETF (ASX: CRYP) with a 6.9% gain.

Traders were betting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission which is due to rule on whether Ethereum ETFs, would allow them to trade in the U.S.

Global X Physical Platinum (ASX: ETPMPT) came in third place, returning 6.2%.

In fourth place was Global X’s Hydrogen ETF (ASX: HGEN) with a gain of 5.1%.

As the price of copper continued its bull run, it lifted Global X’s Copper Miners ETF (WIRE) 5.1% and a tie for fourth.

Yearly gainers

Global X 21Shares’ Bitcoin ETF has returned a whopping 144.7% to date.  In second place is Betashares’ Global Uranium ETF (ASX: URNM) with a gain of 90.0%.
